AWS Cloud Service Manager
Description

The Cloud Service Manager is responsible for the
strategic planning, implementation, and management
of cloud-based services and infrastructure. This role
ensures the organization's cloud resources are
efficiently utilized, reliable, secure, and compliant
with relevant standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

Cloud Strategy Development:
Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud strategy
aligned with the organization's goals.
Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and
recommend suitable solutions.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the provisioning, configuration, and
maintenance of cloud resources.
Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance,
availability, and security.
Scale resources as needed to accommodate changing
demands.

Service Delivery:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define
service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure
adherence.
Ensure high availability and reliability of cloud
services.
Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues promptly.

Cost Optimization:
Monitor cloud spending and implement cost control
measures.
Optimize resource utilization to reduce operational
expenses.

Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security best practices for
cloud environments.
Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations
and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for
cloud services.
Conduct regular backup and recovery tests.
Team Leadership and Development:
Build and lead a team of cloud professionals.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to team
members.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud
configurations and procedures.
Generate regular reports on cloud performance
costs, and security.

Patch Management / Change Management:
Evaluate operating system, network and software /
applications patches periodically.
Build and execute deployment strategies for hotfixes
and patches updates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information
technology, or a related field
Proven experience in cloud architecture and
management.
Industry certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps
Administrator – Associate
Strong understanding of cloud service models (IaaS,
PaaS, SaaS) and deployment models (public, private,
hybrid).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Knowledge of compliance and security standards.
